The Fox News host has issued a public apology to Clarkson for his offensive comment, saying he 'admires her remarkable talent.'

AceShowbiz - Fox News host Chris Wallace is quick to issue a public apology to Kelly Clarkson after making offensive comments about her post-baby weight on "The Mike Gallagher Show" on Friday, April 3. "I sincerely apologize to Kelly Clarkson for my offensive comment," Wallace said in a statement on Sunday, April 5. "I admire her remarkable talent and that should have been the focus of any discussion about her."

Both Wallace and host Mike Gallagher received internet backlash after they slammed the "American Idol" alum's post-baby body during the radio chat. Gallagher said during the chat, "Have you seen Kelly Clarkson? You know the singer, Kelly Clarkson? Holy cow, did she blow up." Wallace then responded by saying, "Really? Do we want to talk about some of your friends? Kelly Clarkson's got a lovely voice. She could stay off the deep dish pizza for a little while."

Clarkson, who has repeatedly become the subject of criticism over her weight, hasn't addressed the remarks just yet. In fact, the singer and mother of one has previously stated in several interviews that she didn't and won't let those weight criticism let her down. She said during an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" over the weekend, "We are who we are. Whatever size, and it doesn't meant that we're gonna be that forever."
