Lucille Ball's bronze statue which is erected in her hometown, Celoron, New York frightens people.

AceShowbiz - Lucille Ball's fans are not pleased with Lucy's statue which is erected in her hometown, Celoron, New York. They admitted that the bronze statue looked frightening instead of looking gorgeous. It is the eyes, the teeth, and the face which make this statue of beautiful Lucy become so horrible. The "I Love Lucy" star looks like a ghost who haunts the citizen at night and turns the city into a creepy one.

One of her fans said that the statue of Lucy looked like a monster. The fans of the comedy icon wanted the statue to be removed from Celeron. They made a Facebook page which seeks support to remove the statue. "The people of Celoron have erected this horrible statue of Lucy in her hometown," so read a statement on the Facebook page. "It is a nightmare. We want them to replace it," it added, without intent to criticize the artist Dave Poulin

Not only the fans who feel that the statue does not really represent the beautiful Lucy, but also Ricky, Lucy's husband. He doesn't seem to adore the statue, commenting, "Lucy, I'm ahhhhhhh!"

The statue reconstruction will cost $8,000-$10,000 but the city refuses to use tax dollars for it. "We'd like to work with the original sculptor," Mayor Scott Schrecengost said, "and wish he would stand behind his work enough to step up and fix it for free." The Mayor admitted that the statue is terrible and he tried to gain sympathizers to help them raise the funds to have it redone.
