AceShowbiz - It's official, Kendrick Lamar is engaged to longtime girlfriend Whitney Alford. In an interview with NYC's Breakfast Club radio show on Friday, April 3, he confirmed the engagement.
"Yeah definitely," so Lamar said when being asked if rumors of him engaged to Alford are true. "I'm loyal to the soil. At the end of the day you want to always have real people around you, period -- whether male or female."
Lamar has been dating Alford since high school. The 27-year-old rapper was never shy to show his adoration for her. "I wouldn't even call her my girl," so he told Billboard back in January. "That's my best friend. I don't even like the term that society has put in the world as far as being a companion -- she's somebody I can tell my fears to."
Personal life aside, Lamar premiered the music video for his latest single "King Kunta" earlier this week. The song was featured on his newest album "To Pimp a Butterfly", which has been No. 1 of Billboard 200 for two weeks.
