Sources close to Simon Cowell and the record label have confirmed that there's 'absolutely zero' talk to hire another singer to replace the recently-departed 1D member.

AceShowbiz - One Direction will continue as a four-piece following the departure of Zayn Malik. According to TMZ, the British/Irish boyband has made it clear that they have no plan to hire another singer to fill in for the 22-year-old hunk who officially announced his exit last week.

Sources close to Simon Cowell and the record label have told the site that there will be only Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson on their next album. They can confirm that there's "absolutely zero" talk of finding a replacement for Zayn.

Zayn quit One Direction in order to become "a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight," so he said in a statement posted on Facebook last week. He also denied any bad blood with his former bandmates, saying, "I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world."

TMZ also supports his statement as it says the remaining 1D members are "still talking to Zayn regularly." They also "completely" respect the singer's decision to leave the band.
