Kendrick Lamar's 'To Pimp a Butterfly' Stays Atop Billboard 200

Action Bronson's 'Mr. Wonderful' and the latest 'Kidz Bop' album are the only newcomers in the top 10, landing at No. 7 and No. 10, respectively.

AceShowbiz - Kendrick Lamar continues its reign on Billboard 200. The rapper's latest album "To Pimp a Butterfly", which last week debuted at No. 1, is spending its second week atop the chart after selling another 123,000 equivalent album units, 107,000 of which are pure album sales.

The album becomes the first to spend its first two weeks at the chart's No. 1 since Taylor Swift's "1989" debuted last November. "Butterfly" is additionally the first R&B/hip-hop set to have topped the list for multiple weeks since Beyonce Knowles' 2013 surprise release earned three weeks at No. 1 in late 2013 until early 2014.

Trailing behind Lamar's latest effort is the "Empire" soundtrack, which is also a non mover. It stays at No. 2 with 61,000 units in its third week. The "Fifty Shades of Grey" soundtrack rises from last week's No. 4 to this week's No. 3 with 54,000.

At No. 4, Sam Smith's "In the Lonely Hour" jumps five rungs with 53,000. Swift's "1989" stays at No. 5 with 52,000 while Ed Sheeran's "X" rises to No. 6 with 50,000.

Rapper Action Bronson becomes the first newcomer in the top 10. "Mr. Wonderful", which marks his first full-length for a major label, arrives at No. 7 with 49,000. Fellow hip-hop act Drake's "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" falls from No. 6 to No. 8 with 44,000.

Closing out the top 10 are Maroon 5's "V" which bows at No. 9 with 42,000 and "Kidz Bop 28", the latest installment of "Kidz Bop" album series, that comes at No. 10 with 40,000.
