AceShowbiz - Vincent D'Onofrio is reportedly eyed for a key role in Antoine Fuqua's upcoming "The Magnificent Seven". Variety learns that the big bald Kingpin of "Daredevil" has entered negotiations to play the main baddie in the remake of John Sturges' 1960 film of the same title.
The original "Seven", adapted from Akira Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai", followed the story of seven elite gunslingers who protect an oppressed Mexican village from a group of outlaws. It starred the likes of Yul Brynner, Charles Bronson, Robert Vaughn, and Steve McQueen.
Written by "True Detective" creator Nic Pizzolatto and "The Blind Side" scribe John Lee Hancock, the remake is reportedly set after the Civil War as the Wild West era is coming to an end. Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, and Ethan Hawke star in the new pic.
