Ryan Reynolds Reveals First Official Look at 'Deadpool'

The first official picture shows Marvel's anti-hero Wade Wilson wearing his signature costume as he channels Burt Reynolds.

AceShowbiz - Ryan Reynolds tweets an official picture from his upcoming superhero movie "Deadpool". The image shows Wade Wilson in his full costume lounging on a bearskin rug in front of a fire. "With great power, comes great irresponsibility. #deadpool #officialsuit @deadpoolmovie," the actor tweeted.

"No bears were harmed in the making of this photo. Though many bears likely turned on," the hunky star jokingly added, before posting a photo of naked Burt Reynolds which inspired the "Deadpool" picture. "Eat your heart out Burt Reynolds," reads the tweet from the official movie account.

The synopsis is also revealed. Based upon Marvel Comics' most unconventional anti-hero, 'Deadpool' tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Reynolds who is set to take on the title role is joined by Morena Baccarin who will play Vanessa a.k.a. Copycat and T.J. Miller who will portray Reynolds' on-screen buddy Weasel. Gina Carano and Ed Skrein are also among the cast. Directed by Tim Miller, it's due in U.S. on February 12, 2016.
