Tip insists that he never steals from anyone after attempt by Marvin Gaye's family to get him included in the verdict that found Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams guilty of copyright infringement.

AceShowbiz - T.I. reacts to the on-going drama surrounding "Blurred Lines" copyright infringement case. The rapper defends himself after Marvin Gaye's family filed a motion to correct the verdict that found Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams guilty but let T.I. and the music labels off the hook. The family wants the rapper and the labels to get punished as well.

"I never really got caught up in that. I have nothing but admiration and respect for the legacy and estate of Marvin Gaye and I have nothing but support and extreme admiration for my partner Pharrell as well as Rob," he told a TMZ paparazzo. "I know that I'm a writer, I'm a creator, I don't steal from anybody creatively when I make my music. I know that and I think anybody with common sense is going to be able to see that whenever they listen to it."

Williams and Thicke were ordered to pay the Gaye family $7.3 million for ripping off Gaye's 1977 song "Got to Give It Up". Both vehemently denied the accusation. The Gayes are now seeking an injunction to halt "Blurred Lines" sales until both sides can agree on the distribution of future revenue.
