Perry and Mayer have split again a few months after rekindling their relationship in January.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry and John Mayer have split again. The on-again/off-again couple last reunited when Perry had a break in her "Prismatic World Tour". A source told Radar Online, "So, for those few months they had a great time, pretending that it would last - and of course it didn't."
Another source added that their relationship couldn't last because there were so many pressures of their careers. "The reason they have split in the past is because Perry gets busy. John can't handle the lack on attention, and she can't handle the trust issues she has when she's so far away," the source said. "So they've learned that it's better to just take a break when they can't be in the same place."
Rumor has it, Perry was the one who called it quits. There's no confirmation so far either from the stars or the representatives regarding the latest break-up news. Since they are no longer together, Mayer was absent from Perry's fashion week in Milan and London.
The "Roar" singer dated Mayer a few months after she ended her marriage with Russell Brand. Back in 2012, Perry said during an interview on "Good Morning America" about her first date with Mayer. "We just went to dinner, like a regular couple," she revealed. "We share music as a love together. That's like a common interest." They later split in March 2013.
After reuniting last January, the two were rumored to be engaged in February. The report emerged as Perry was spotted wearing a diamond ring on her left ring finger on Valentine's Day.
