The Xander Harris of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' is charged with damage to property and criminal mischief for creating disturbance at the hotel he was staying while in town for the ALTCon geek convention.

AceShowbiz - Nicholas Brendon got arrested in Florida while in town to meet fans at the ALTCon geek convention. The 43-year-old actor allegedly trashed his Tallahassee hotel room, flipping a bed and smashing a mirror. He was charged with damage to property and criminal mischief.
The incident happened Friday, March 13. The "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star was released from Leon County jail after posting a $1,000 bail on Saturday. He told Tallahassee Democrat that he had been battling depression and went "into a blackout" after taking sleeping pills.
"We are aware that Nicholas' actions are of a much deeper origin- and we are working toward creating a healthy environment for him to thrive in," his rep told E! News. "The past several months have been trying, and Nicholas' disease is damaging and consistently misunderstood. We are doing everything in our power at Camp Nick to assure his recovery."
It's Brendon's third arrest in six months. He was arrested for creating disturbance at an Idaho hotel in October, a week after marrying girlfriend Moonda Tee in Las Vegas. He promised to seek treatment but again caused a similar trouble at a Fort Lauderdale hotel in February. He also announced his split from his wife in the same month.
In 2004, the actor checked into rehab for alcoholism. He returned to rehab in 2010 after being arrested and charged with one count of vandalism, one count of resisting arrest, and two counts of battery against a police officer.
