Twenty-nine percent of voters say they trust Fox News the most, while twenty-two percent of respondents choose CNN.

AceShowbiz - Fox News is the most trusted news network in America, according to a new national poll done by Quinnipiac University. The poll, released on Monday, March 9, finds 29 percent of the nearly 1,300 registered voters surveyed say they trust Fox News the most. 20 percent of respondents say they trust Fox's coverage "a great deal" and 35 percent say they trust its coverage "somewhat."

CNN trails close behind Fox News with 22 percent of voters. The Time Warner Inc.-owned channel is trusted "a great deal" by 18 percent of respondents, while other 43 percent voters trust the network "somewhat."

Comcast Corp's NBC News and CBS News each wins 10 percent of votes, while 8 percent of respondents choose Walt Disney Co's ABC News as the most trusted news network. 7 percent of voters pick NBC's MNSBC.

Another poll conducted by Quinnipiac finds many people say that Brian Williams should be allowed to return to his position as the "NBC Nightly News" anchor after he's suspended for six months without pay. 42 percent of the respondents are rooting for Williams, while 35 percent say he should be fired.

The poll was done following controversy about Williams' exaggerating story that his helicopter was hit by enemy in Iraq in 2003. NBC is investigating his claim as he's put on suspension.

Bill O'Reilly of Fox News was hit with similar issue as MSNBC contributor David Corn pointed out that O'Reilly lied about covering the war between Britain and Argentina in 1982 on the Falkland Islands. O'Reilly, however, insisted that he never said he was on the island during the war.
