The upcoming CW series will allegedly feature Rip Hunter and Virgil Ovid Hawkins in addition to the already seen Atom, Canary, Captain Cold and Dr. Martin Stein.

AceShowbiz - Following report last month that an "Arrow" / "The Flash" spin-off is being developed, a new detail of the project emerges. TVLine has learnt descriptions of characters being cast for the potential new series and suggests which DC Comics heroes or villains are referred to in the casting call.

The first new character is dubbed "The Traveler", who is described as a "Han Solo-esque rogue who gets by with his charm." The protagonist character "hails from the future, and has journeyed back in time on a secret mission. His razor-sharp wit hides the pain of a man who has lived through serious conflict. He also harbors many secrets, always leaving both his teammates and the audience unsure of his true allegiances."

This character could be Rip Hunter, the leader of a gang of time travelers, featured in "Showcase" and later in "Time Masters" series. Another possible incarnation of this character is Booster Gold, a fame-seeker from the future who was portrayed by Eric Martsolf on "Smallville".

The second new member of the ensemble is "Female Warrior", who is a pretty but unassuming Latina in her twenties. Book smart and socially awkward by day, she becomes a fierce warrior by the night when she hears the cry of battle.

TVLine suggests that this character is a cross between Fury a.k.a. Helena Kosmatos ("an Amazon heroine empowered by the ancient Furies") and Yolanda Montez a.k.a. Wildcat. She could also be Pantha a.k.a. Rosabelle Mendez, a member of the New Titans, or Tarantula a.k.a. Catalina Marie Flores.

The third character is called "Mystery Hero", who is described as "an African-American male in his twenties." He is a "street smart guy who unexpectedly gains powers, and then, as part of the team, regularly quips about the insanity of the situations." He is a series regular on the upcoming show.

This character could be Virgil Ovid Hawkins, "a high school student who was splashed with experimental chemicals after being caught in a gang war." He has electromagnetic powers and is able to interact with wireless communication. He uses the name Static as his alter ego. Black Lightning or Black Vulcan could also fit the description of this "Mystery Hero".

Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller and Caity Lotz are expected to reprise their roles as Ray/The Atom, Dr. Martin Stein a.k.a. half of Firestorm, Leonard Snart/Captain Cold and Sara Lance/Canary respectively on the future spin-off.
