The iconic diva says that her three-decade career inspires her new album 'Rebel Heart' that hits the stores on March 10.

AceShowbiz - The long wait for Madonna's anticipated new album is finally over. Having been teased since early last year, "Rebel Heart" that marks the iconic diva's thirteenth studio installment is out in the U.S on Tuesday, March 10.

The album has already been preceded by six songs which were rush-released in December after a bunch of her demos leaked online. Those six tracks included lead single "Living for Love" that she co-wrote with Diplo.

In addition to the DJ, the LP features contributions from Kanye West whom Madge called "the black Madonna." In a new interview with New York Daily News, she explained that she and the rapper got along well because they had something in common. "We're comrades in the envelope-pushing genre," she said.

She also talked to the site about her more-than-three-decade career in the music industry being the inspiration behind her new project. "There's a lot of reminiscing on this album," she shared. "I've been doing what I've been doing for over three decades, so in many ways I feel like a survivor."

"I see that many of my peers, and friends, and people I collaborated with are no longer with us. That gave me pause. I said, 'Wow, I can't believe I made it this far.' That was a catalyst for me," she added.
