The 'Cinderella' actress and her husband announce the adoption after she was spotted with a baby at Los Angeles airport.

AceShowbiz - Cate Blanchett and her husband Andrew Upton have a new addition to their family. "The Upton family (Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton) have adopted a baby girl," a representative for the couple says in a statement. "No further details will be provided."

The announcement was made after the "Cinderella" star was spotted with a baby on a flight in Los Angeles earlier this week. According to The Australian Women's Weekly, the baby is named Vivienne. She joins big brothers Dashiell, 13, Roman, 10, and Ignatius, 6.

Blanchett, 45, and Upton, 49, tied the knot in December 1997. In 2010, the actress revealed her desire to have more children. She said, "If the next one was a boy, then that's just our lot! It's true you do get a bit demented [with three boys]." But "the chaos of it is great," she added.

She also talked about juggling between work and motherhood. "I've had to say no to things because I was pregnant, but then I had a baby, so it didn't seem like a sacrifice. I'm quite fatalistic - if something doesn't happen, then something else will," she said. "It has to work for my family, otherwise I can't do the job."
