David Denman Recruited as Elite Sniper for Michael Bay's '13 Hours'

Tapped to star as elite sniper named Boon, Denman will share screen with John Krasinski, James Badge Dale, Max Martini, and Pablo Schreiber.

AceShowbiz - Having had the likes of John Krasinski, James Badge Dale, Max Martini, and Pablo Schreiber starring in its upcoming flick "13 Hours", Paramount is adding David Denman into its cast ensemble. The actor is slated to portray an elite sniper named Boon. No further information was disclosed about his character.

"13 Hours", which is of political drama genre, "is an adaptation of Mitchell Zuckoff's book about the 2012 attack on an American compound in Libya that left U.S. ambassador J. Christopher Stevens dead," The Hollywood Reporter reported. As for the film, its story will revolve around "the special forces team that attempted to rescue Stevens."

Paramount is looking forward to starting shooting the film in April. Locations will be in Malta and Morocco with Michael Bay on hand directing. Release date is not yet set.

David Denman is well recognized for his starring role on "The Office" as the boyfriend of Jenna Fischer's character, Pam. In addition to the NBC series, he has starred on "Parenthood" as Ed.
