The member of the '90s RnB group passed away on Saturday, February 28 after she allegedly fell and cut her neck on glass.

AceShowbiz - Charmayne Maxwell, a member of 1990s R&B group Brownstone, died on Saturday, February 28 in Los Angeles at the age 46. Her brother, Brandon, confirmed the sad news on Twitter, posting a photo of Charmayne smiling.

Brandon wrote, "R.I.P my beautiful sister Charmayne 'Maxee' Maxwell I can't even believe I'm typing this right now.. Bad things happened to the most innocent people. My sister died in the most terrible way and I'm in so much pain right now. I can't stop shaking."

He added, "I'd love to be with my nephew Nicolaj right now.. I feel bad that he has to deal with the loss of his mother at such a young age."

According to TMZ, Charmayne was found unconscious and bleeding from a cut to her neck. A family member told the site that earlier in the day, she was home alone with her son after they went to his soccer game.

Her husband, music producer Carsten Soulshock, returned home at around 9:00 P.M. and found her "bleeding profusely, but still had pulse." Carsten then called 911 and paramedics rushed her to Cedars Sinai Hospital. However, she passed away on the way to the hospital because she lost too much blood.

LAPD told the site that it was a broken wine glass that cut Charmayne's neck. Detectives reportedly didn't suspect foul play.

Charmayne's group Brownstone was signed to Michael Jackson's MJJ Music Label in 1994. Their biggest hit "If You Love Me" won a Billboard Music Award and was nominated for a Grammy for best R&B performance.
