Many contestants show off their talents in front of audience and try to wow Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera with their skills.

AceShowbiz - Season 8 of NBC's "The Voice" has officially started. Premiered on Monday, February 23, the singing contest offered awesome performances by contestants who tried to wow Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera with their skills.

The first contestant on Monday night immediately received attention from the coaches. Singing Rod Stewart's "Stay With Me", Sarah Potenza sees the four turning around for her. Potenza then picked Shelton. The second contestant who impressed the stars is Lowell Oakley who sang "Don't Get Around Much Anymore". Levine and Williams turned around, but Oakley eventually chose the "Happy" hitmaker.

Rob Taylor, who dedicated his performance of Luke James' "I Want You" to his mother, won approval from Aguilera, Williams and Levine. "Come home. Team Christina all the way. I have to have you. I have one star player and that's you. You have such an inspiring voice. I want to be part of your family," Aguilera said. Taylor eventually chose the "Hurt" hitmaker.

After Ivonne Acero failed to impress Levine, Williams, Shelton and Aguilera, Cody Wickline appeared onstage and received four approvals. Wickline, who is a country singer, belted out George Jones' "He Stopped Loving Her Today" and later chose to be with team Shelton.

Treeva Gibson, whose parents are deaf, sang Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful" onstage. Aguilera and Shelton were impressed with her performance, but she decided to join Aguilera. "I was so captivated. You have smooth textures to your voice. It started small and sincere sounding and it just grew. At 16, you sound so polished," Aguilera praised her.

Later on, Mason Henderson failed to wow the singers despite her cute performance of "Riptide" with Ukulele. The next performer Meghan Linsey who sang Nazareth's "Love Hurts" chose to be in team Pharrell. "I can't believe I just said no to Christina!" she said.

Supported by his family, Joshua Davis performed Bob Dylan's "I Shall Be Released" and earned approval from Shelton and Levine. Davis chose the Maroon 5 frontman.

The highlight of the Monday episode probably is when Bryce Sherlow, who failed to impress the four stars, told Williams that she sang "Happy" for her a capella group. "Pharrell, go sing it with her!" Aguilera told him, which of course he did.

The last performer in the first blind episode is Sawyer Fredericks who showed off amazing vocals with "I'm a Man of Constant Sorrow". All four stars were blown away and sang praises following the performance.

"I promise you aren't going anywhere until you're the last one standing on this show," Levine said. "You are a legend in your own right. I will promise you I won't let you down," Aguilera told the 15-year-old contestant.

"It sounded like you were singing in an old vintage microphone. I think you're awesome," Shelton said. Williams, meanwhile, told Fredericks, "As soon as you started singing, it took me to another time. Even if you don't pick me, I feel lucky to be on this show and get to watch this amazing thing happen." Fredericks eventually chose Williams.
