Banks calls Badu 'old' and accuses her of throwing shade at her after the singer implies she doesn't really understand the Harlem raptress' music.

AceShowbiz - Azealia Banks has added another name to her long list of enemies. The latest person to have been embroiled in a feud with the outspoken raptress is Erykah Badu, who unintentionally started the war as she responded to a fan who wondered if she listened to Banks' music.

Always wanted to know," the fan recently asked on Twitter, to which Badu simply replied, "Tried," implying that she couldn't really understand Banks' songs. It didn't take Banks too long to find out about the tweet.
She then decided to confront Badu and accused her of "jealousy." "Lol, what's the shade? .... Jealousy," she wrote before launching a series of Twitter rants, "When artists grow old and begin to recognize their own mortality they throw shade at younger spirits. We see it happen ALL the time. Whether or not you like me... You are WATCHING, and that's what's most important."

Responding to one tweet in which she's called "old," Badu said, "Well s**t I did try. Maybe you're right.. I'm just to old to get it. You cool tho?" Banks quickly replied, "I'm cool, I was just trying to make sure you were cool."

Badu apparently tried to end the Twitter war when she told Banks she was "just playin" and wished her a happy Valentine's Day. "El oh el. Just kidding. Happy v day. Keep greasing that scalp mama," the 23-year-old entertainer replied and went on mocking Badu for turning on her location but refusing to give her address.
"Lol that ol lady went out of her way throw shade at me, turned on her location... But when I asked for the address ... There was no answer," she wrote later in the day. "Lol I think it was very childish of her to try and insinuate that I should show up and fight her... Like.. How old are you?"
