AceShowbiz - Paul McCartney celebrated this year's Valentine's Day with a surprise concert. The British superstar played a secret show on Saturday, February 14 at Irving Plaza in New York City for a crowd of around 1,000 people including a number of A-listers like Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks, Emma Stone, Bradley Cooper, Leonardo DiCaprio and Olivia Wilde.
McCartney kicked off the two-hour concert with "Eight Days a Week" before performing other The Beatles songs like "Save Us", "I've Just Seen a Face", "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da", "Let It Be" and "Hey Jude". He also treated fans to some of Wings songs as well as his own solo records.
At one point, he played "My Valentine" from his 2012 solo set "Kisses on the Bottom" and dedicated it to his wife, Nancy Shevell. "Tonight is about love," he told the audience as red confetti petals fell.
Following the concert, McCartney posted a picture taken during the show on Twitter and wrote, "New York City! Best Valentines Day Ever!" In follow-up posts, he thanked his famous friends in attendance.
