Christina Aguilera Lands Guest Stint on ABC's 'Nashville'

Aguilera will be starring as Jade St. John for multiple episodes of the drama show which will air this spring.

AceShowbiz - Amidst her hectic schedule juggling motherhood and getting back judging "The Voice", Christina Aguilera has signed on for a guest-starring role on ABC's drama series "Nashville". The 34-year-old star will be appearing on the show for multiple episodes which will air this spring.

PEOPLE reports that Aguilera will portray the role of "Jade St. John, a pop superstar who's been going pretty much nonstop since she broke out a decade ago." Her character "arrives to Nashville for a two-night stand at the Bridgestone, but her real dream is to record a country album - if only her label, who wants her to stay on brand as a pop star, would let her break out of her golden cage."

Aguilera will appear in the episodes alongside series regulars Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton.

Aguilera is currently also working on a TV series for ABC Family that she helps produce. She, additionally, has revealed plans to record a new album.
