The title character depicter on Netflix's upcoming Marvel series has begun filming the show in New York.

AceShowbiz - First look at Krysten Ritter as the titular character on "Marvel's A.K.A. Jessica Jones" has been obtained through on-set photos which just surfaced online. The actress was spotted donning a black coat, a gray scarf, jeans and black boots while filming the Netflix-Marvel series in the Bronx, New York on Thursday, February 5.
Based on Marvel's character, Jessica Jones is a former superhero known as Jewel who hangs her costume after suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. She then works as a private investigator.
Mike Colter is cast as Luke Cage, and Carrie-Anne Moss is tapped to play "the no-nonsense Harper, a person in a position of authority who could prove a powerful ally to Jessica - if the titular character doesn't completely alienate her first, that is."
The 13-episode drama is spearheaded by Melissa Rosenberg. It is part of a massive deal between Netflix and Marvel which also includes "Daredevil" and "Iron Fist" series and culminates in "The Defenders" miniseries featuring all four heroes.
"Jessica Jones" is expected to premiere sometime this year, following the debut of "Daredevil" starring Charlie Cox on April 10.
