'Avengers: Age of Ultron' Rumored to Feature Characters From 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D'

The new report about the cast of 'The Avengers' sequel comes out around the same time Marvel releases several new photos from the upcoming movie.

AceShowbiz - The upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron" reportedly will feature some unexpected characters. A Reddit user who goes by the name "the_marvel_intern" spilled the info online on Monday, February 2, saying that the highly-anticipated movie is set to feature three characters from "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.".

"In Age of Ultron, cast of Agents Of Shield show up. May, Daisy, Coulson, etc.," the Reddit user wrote. The person was referring to Ming-Na's Melinda May, Chloe Bennet's Skye and Clark Gregg's Phil Coulson.

In the post, the source additionally shared names who are considered to serve behind the lens in the third installment in "Thor" movie franchise, "Thor: Ragnarok". The source mentioned Adam McKay ("Anchorman") as the frontrunner for the director position. In addition to McKay, Marvel reportedly is considering Gareth Edwards ("Godzilla") and Matt Reeves ("Dawn of the Planet of the Apes").

"Avengers: Age of Ultron" will see the Earth's mightiest heroes taking on the villainous Ultron (James Spader). Also featuring appearances of new characters such as Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch, Aaron Johnson's Quicksilver and Paul Bettany's The Vision, the Joss Whedon-directed movie is set for release on May 1.
