TV

Harry jokingly performs Sia's song to mock other contestants who fail during the auditions, and gets fired up by a singing hopeful who sings an original rage song.

AceShowbiz - "American Idol" season 14 auditions came to an end with a second episode in San Francisco. Continuing Wednesday's outing, the Thursday, January 29 episode saw Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez and Harry Connick Jr. being joined by Carly Smithson from "Idol" season 7 as a judge for a day.

As always, there were some terrible singers among the good talent. The show compiled footage of some failed contestants who butchered Sia Furler's "Chandelier". Apparently having had enough of it, Harry couldn't stand mocking them by pretending to audition and singing the hit song exaggeratedly. Keith couldn't stop laughing and praised him for hitting the high notes, "Harry ascending."

Meanwhile, another contestant prompted Harry to flip his chair. Christopher Michael sang his original song and played his acoustic guitar like he's mad at it. Harry was fired up and threw his chair. Keith loved the passion, but Christopher's performance wasn't good enough to earn him a Golden Ticket.

On the good side, Adanna Duru who was a contestant on "The Voice" got three yeses with her rendition of Lady GaGa's "You and I". Hunter Larsen followed her footsteps after showing her big, raspy voice when singing "That's Life" by Frank Sinatra. Tara Honda also earned a spot in Hollywood with her rendition of Carole King's "I Feel the Earth Move".

Daniel Seavey, who is just 15 years old, can play 47 different instruments. He played piano and sang "Hallelujah" during his audition, but his voice didn't match his good piano skill. J.Lo said he was "talented and adorable" and the judges gave him a shot at the competition anyway.

Both Rocky Peter and Jaq Mackenzie auditioned with original songs. Rocky came with a sob story about living in poverty and eating out of the trash. His distinctive tone earned him a Golden Ticket. Jaq's nasally voice may not be favorable for some people, but the 15-year-old high school student made it through.

The last contestant to audition was Tyanna Jones who grew up in a poor family with her 10 siblings. She sang "Wings" by Little Mix and Harry praised her as very talented. She was sent to Hollywood.
