The 'Fast and Furious' actor who really wants to be cast in 'Green Lantern' has shared pictures of him as Green Lantern on social media.

AceShowbiz - Tyrese Gibson is campaigning heavily for "Green Lantern (2020)". The "Fast and Furious" actor has been launching a social media campaign to land the role in the DC movie which is set for 2020, sharing many photoshopped images of him as the superhero.

Gibson started showing interest in playing the character a few days ago. The first image was posted on January 23, with a caption, "Rumor has it that." Another post read, "Loving this energy..... Shout to @_raphael_leite_ Idris fall back I got this!" He added with a quote, "In the brightest day, in the blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let all who worship evil's might, Beware of the power of Green Lantern's light!"

Ryan Reynolds played the character in the 2011 movie. Idris Elba was recently linked to the role for the upcoming movie, but he probably would not be able to make it due to his commitment to Marvel movies.

Gibson next can be seen in "Furious 7". Also starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Michelle Rodriguez among others, the highly-anticipated movie is set for release on April 3.
