Michael B. Jordan Featured in First 'Fantastic Four' Behind-the-Scenes Photos

The first photos from the superhero movie show Michael B. Jordan wearing a black costume as well as director Josh Trank working on the set.

AceShowbiz - First photos from "The Fantastic Four" have been released. Arriving via Collider on Monday, January 26, a behind-the-scenes photo from the project sees Michael B. Jordan wearing a black costume while talking to screenwriter Simon Kinberg. Another photo sees director Josh Trank working behind the camera.

In an interview with the site, Kinberg and Trank shared some info regarding the movie. Admitting that they deliberately kept everything under wraps until now, Trank said of the plot, "This is a modern telling of how these four iconic characters came together and came to be."

Trank revealed that the movie is influenced by David Cronenberg and his works, "Scanners" and "The Fly", as well as "what Jack Kirby and Stan Lee were doing in the 60's all the way up into the present day." Kinberg additionally said, "I think The Ultimates is probably our biggest influence because it's the younger Fantastic Four. And a lot of the science specifics are there. And a lot of the means of transformation we took from those books."

The principal photography was finished in seventy two days and the final cut of the film will probably be between 2 hours and 2 hours and 20 minutes. It will feature scores from Philip Glass and Marco Beltrami.

Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell and Toby Kebbell are also on board the movie in addition to Jordan. The movie is set to hit theaters in the U.S. on August 7. Its first trailer was first reported to be attached to "Kingsman: The Secret Service", but AMC's John Campea said that it would arrive on Tuesday morning.
