The sex scene between Melissa Rauch and Sebastian Stan's characters is said to have involved 'pole vaults, cartwheels and pirouettes.'

AceShowbiz - Audience members at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival apparently had interesting night when watching "The Bronze" at the opening night at Eccles Theater. One of the highlights of the comedy starring "The Big Bang Theory" actress Melissa Rauch is a creative sex scene between Rauch and Sebastian Stan's characters which involves "pole vaults, cartwheels and pirouettes," according to Variety.

The Raved commented on the scene, "Everything from tumbles, to vaults to cartwheels thrown into the mix to create one of the funniest/raunchiest events you could hope for." Mashable, meanwhile, gave it "a perfect 10." The Associated Press does not give the movie a glowing review, but they say, "The commitment to the bit alone makes the film a must-see."

The sex scene was also discussed during the Q&A session. "Right after this there's going to be an audition for the sex scene in the sequel," director Bryan Buckley said with a joke. Rauch, however, shared that the scene was filmed by a body double and Stan. "My body never looked better thanks to her," she said.

The movie, written by Rauch and her husband Winston Rauch, tells the story of a washed-up Olympic gymnast named Hope Ann Greggory who won bronze medal 10 years ago after injuring her foot and became a sort of hero in her hometown of Amherst, Ohio. Her career, however, ended due to the severe injury.

One day, Hope's life is changed when his coach committed suicide. In his will, it is said that Hope will receive $500,000 if she successfully helps an aspiring gymnast, played by Haley Lu Richardson, win a championship. Stan plays a competitor who also wants the coaching job.
