Rogen says in some Twitter posts that he wasn't comparing Clint Eastwood-directed movie to Nazi propaganda film in Quentin Tarantino's 'Inglourious Basterds'.

AceShowbiz - Seth Rogen recently made a controversial remark about "American Sniper", saying that the movie reminds him of a movie in "Inglourious Basterds". " 'American Sniper' kind of reminds me of the movie that's showing in the third act of 'Inglorious Basterds'," Rogen wrote on Sunday, January 19. He was referring to a fake movie called "Nation's Pride" which is about a Nazi sniper featured in Quentin Tarantino's flick.
After the tweet was picked up by news outlets, Rogen explained his statement. "I just said something 'kinda reminded' me of something else. I actually liked 'American Sniper'. It just reminded me of the Tarantino scene," he said. "I wasn't comparing the two. Big difference between comparing and reminding. Apples remind me of oranges. Can't compare them, though."

On Sunday, Michael Moore also caused a stir with his comment about snipers which was made on the same weekend "American Sniper" led the box office with an estimated $90.2 million. Shortly after tweeting he was taught to believe that snipers were "coward," the filmmaker took to Facebook to explain his opinion and praise the Clint Eastwood-directed movie's lead star Bradley Cooper.
"Lots of talk about snipers this weekend (the holiday weekend of a great man, killed by a sniper), so I thought I'd weigh in with what I was raised to believe about snipers," he shared. "My dad was in the First Marine Division in the South Pacific in World War II. His brother, my uncle, Lawrence Moore, was an Army paratrooper and was killed by a Japanese sniper 70 years ago next month."
Regarding Cooper's performance, he said the Oscar-nominated actor was "awesome." He added, "One of the best of the year. Great editing. Costumes, hair, makeup superb!"
