Neither is allowed to disclose details of their relationship, but Mariah has to pay higher penalty fee if she violates the confidentiality clause.

AceShowbiz - Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon signed a prenup before they married in 2008. Amidst their divorce proceedings, the confidentiality clause in the agreement is revealed. They have to pay a hefty bill if either one of them discusses their marriage.

According to a scoop from TMZ, Nick has to pay Mariah $250,000 if he speaks publicly about details of their relationship. Meanwhile, Mariah is allegedly required to pay Nick twice the amount if she is the one who spills the beans.

She has to pay bigger buck because she was worth a lot more than Nick when they entered their marriage seven years ago. According to the prenuptial documents, she's worth $150M while he came into the union with less than $500,000.

He reportedly took out a $470,000 loan to buy her a $500,000 engagement ring back then, but now he has done quite well from his various projects. The "America's Got Talent" presenter is currently preparing a new album rumored to feature song in which he would talk about their split, which he vehemently denied. His estranged wife, meanwhile, is gearing up for her Las Vegas residency show in May and June.

Cannon and Carey split in 2014 after six years of marriage. They have twin children, Monroe and Moroccan. Cannon revealed in August there was trouble in paradise, and he filed for divorce in December.
