Jennifer Lawrence Circling 'The Dive', Emily Blunt in Talks for 'The Huntsman'

Lawrence and 'Catching Fire' director Francis Lawrence are re-teaming for the drama, while Blunt is in negotiations for a villain role in the movie starring Chris Hemsworth.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lawrence apparently is eyeing a new project despite her hectic schedule. According to The Wrap, the actress is re-teaming with "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" director Francis Lawrence for romantic drama "The Dive". The flick is produced by James Cameron via his Lightstorm Entertainment banner along with Rae Sanchini and Barry Josephson.

"The Dive" depicts the true story of freestyle divers Francisco "Pipin" Ferraras and his wife Audrey Mestre who competed to dive as deeply as possible underwater on a single breath of air. Lawrence is set to portray Mestre who died when trying to break her own record of 557.7 feet.

Lawrence next will return to play Mystique in "X-Men: Apocalypse" which starts filming in April. She is also preparing to star in David O. Russell-directed "Joy" alongside Bradley Cooper.

On Friday, January 16, TheWrap additionally reported that Emily Blunt was in talks to star in "The Huntsman" alongside Chris Hemsworth. Blunt is circling the role of the evil Snow Queen, the sister of Charlize Theron's villainous character.

The follow-up to 2012's "Snow White and the Huntsman" will see Hemsworth returning as Eric the huntsman. Kristen Stewart will not be back to the upcoming movie which recently lost director Frank Darabont due to creative differences. A replacement has yet to be announced. The movie is set to hit theaters on April 22, 2016.
