AceShowbiz - Foo Fighters invited a number of surprise guests at a special concert to commemorate frontman Dave Grohl's 46th birthday in Inglewood, California on Saturday, January 10. During the show at the Forum, the rock band was joined onstage by some famous faces including Tenacious D, Paul Stanley of KISS, Alice Cooper and David Lee Roth among others.

Along with former Guns N' Roses member Slash, Jack Black and Kyle Gass of comedy duo Tenacious D assisted the Foos for the covers of Queen's "Tie Your Mother Down" and Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song". Previously, Stanley kicked off the show with KISS' "Detroit Rock City" and "Do You Love Me".

Later, Alice Cooper was brought out to help Grohl and Co. to perform "School's Out" and "I'm Eighteen". Roth, meanwhile, treated the crowd to his rendition of Van Halen's "Panama" and "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love".

Other stars making appearances at the Saturday concert included Zakk Wylde, Lemmy Kilmeister from Motorhead, Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction and Trombone Shorty. In addition to the covers they played with their guests, the Foos performed a bunch of their own hits like "Learn to Fly" and "Everlong" among others.

Billed as "An Evening With Foo Fighters in the Round", the star-studded event also doubled as a benefit concert with a portion of proceeds from ticket sales going to charities including Sweet Relief, MusiCares and the Rock School Scholarship Fund.
