The Australian singer who also co-directed the visuals with Daniel Askill says sorry to whoever feeling 'triggered' by the video starring Maddie Ziegler and Shia LaBeouf.

AceShowbiz - Sia Furler's "Elastic Heart" music video has drawn criticism from some people. Co-directed by the Australian singer and Daniel Askill, the clip premiered on Wednesday, January 7 was deemed inappropriate as it features 12-year-old Maddie Ziegler in a nude-colored leotard in a dance-fight against a completely shirtless Shia LaBeouf.

While some viewers praised the concept of the video, some others called it "disgusting." "@Sia this is a DISGUSTING video smacks of child molestation #pervert #unacceptable #childabuse @maddieziegler Explain please!" a fan tweeted. Another fan agreed, adding, "Sia's 'Elastic Heart' video is disgusting. Desperation of Maddie's mom for her daughters fame and Sia's leftover brain cells from drugs."

Sia then took to Twitter to respond to the criticism and apologize to whoever feeling "triggered" by the clip. "I anticipated some 'pedophilia!!!' Cries for this video. All I can say is Maddie and Shia are two of the only actors I felt could play these two warring 'sia' self states," she wrote.

She continued, "I apologize to those who feel triggered by #ElasticHeart My intention was to create some emotional content, not to upset anybody."

"Elastic Heart" was first released in 2012 as the soundtrack of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire". It's now serving as the latest single off Sia's "1000 Forms of Fear" album. Its music video has so far garnered more than 3 million views on the singer's Vevo.
