Movie

The steamy film dodges the NC-17 rating and is given the R rating for 'strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior and graphic nudity, and for language.'

AceShowbiz - The MPAA has finally set a rating for "Fifty Shades of Grey". After contemplating whether the steamy movie should be given the NC-17 or R rating, it was revealed on Wednesday, January 7 that the highly-anticipated movie had R rating for "strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior and graphic nudity, and for language." The rating means that audience member who is 17 or younger should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Fans are now eagerly waiting for the drama adapted from popular adult novel by E.L. James starring Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson. The Irish actor plays a businessman named Christian Grey who is into BDSM while Johnson portrays his girlfriend Ana.

In an interview with British GQ for its February issue, the 32-year-old star talks about his research for the role and filming sex scene in the movie. "Your dignity is intact as much as it's all tucked away in a little flesh-colored bag... As a guy you put all your essentials in a little bag and you tie it up like a little bag of grapes and it's tucked away. Its quite a peculiar thing to do every day," he says.

The father of one who admitted that he went to sex dungeon to prepare for the role additionally shares what he saw back then. "In the course of researching this character, I have seen the reality very closely. I can tell you from an alarmingly first-hand perspective it's not altogether sexy. But I've been in a dungeon with a lukewarm beer while a dominant has had some fun with his submissive and it was very playful and jovial and not at all dark and serious. There was a lot of laughter," he explains.

"I'm an extremely liberal person, I don't give a f**k," he continues. "If people are into that they're into that. By the way, if people make such a hoo-hah about the violence against women aspect of it, it's far more common for men to be the submissive. And it's consensual! There's weirder s**t than that. I think plane spotting is far weirder than S&M. That I really don't get. I can understand why people are into S&M, but standing outside Heathrow Terminal 5 waiting for Ryanair to come in?"

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is coming out in U.S. theaters on Valentine's Day. Apart from Dornan and Johnson, Rita Ora, Luke Grimes, Marcia Gay Harden and Andrew Airlie support the film as Grey's family.
