AceShowbiz - "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" unsurprisingly is named 2015's most anticipated movie. An annual survey by Fandango puts the J. J. Abrams-directed film on the first place, followed by another highly-anticipated movie "Avengers: Age of Ultron".
The third spot is taken by "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2". Moviegoers, meanwhile, put "Fifty Shades of Grey", Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson-starring steamy film which is ready to arrive in theaters ahead of Valentine's Day, on the next place. "Jurassic World" starring Chris Pratt is on number five.
The survey took place between December 22 and December 29, and was based on 1,000 correspondents. "It's been a decade since the last installment of the most beloved sci-fi fantasy franchise of all time, and kids of all ages are eagerly anticipating the revitalization of the series next December," said Fandango chief correspondent Dave Karger of the poll's first placer.
The survey also included other topics like favorite actors and actresses. Robert Downey Jr. had to fight fellow member of The Avengers, Chris Hemsworth, for the title of fan favorite actor in a 2015 movie. The latter has two other movies scheduled for release next year, "Blackhat" and "In the Heart of the Sea". The favorite actress title is taken by Jennifer Lawrence, while Scarlett Johansson is placed second.
