A spokeswoman for the ABC talk show brands the rumor, which says 'The View' is bringing back Walters to the panel, 'inaccurate.'

AceShowbiz - Barbara Walters is not returning to "The View" despite report saying otherwise. The rumor surfaced following Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O'Donnell's heated argument about racism last week, but a spokeswoman for the show has denied the story, telling Gossip Cop that the report is "inaccurate."

RadarOnline was the first to report Walters' alleged return to the ABC daytime talk show. "They've been talking about just letting it run its course this season and bringing it back with Barbara and a new panel in the fall," a source told the site. "They've talked about how to creatively bring her back and maybe use a little comedy, like it was all just a bad dream."

The show's moderator Goldberg and returning co-host O'Donnell have been reported not getting along well. Most recently, they had a screaming match when talking about racism on the December 18 episode.

The source said, "Rosie feels like she's giving up. She wants to fix it, but doesn't think they can fix it." She allegedly thinks that "what's going on with her and Whoopi is not something that can survive" and there's no way to fix their relationship. "You have to have two people who want to [make it work] and she realized after the argument that Whoopi doesn't want to," the so-called show insider added.

"Rosie was upset after arguing with Whoopi, but she's fearful she's going to have another colossal failure on her hands," the source continued. "She was so confused by Whoopi's argument and she felt like Whoopi made herself look stupid. She doesn't think on an intellectual level Whoopi is even capable of understanding how to work it out."
