Casey's daughter Kerri Kasem slams his wife Jean for not honoring the former 'American Top 40' host's last wish to be buried in the United States.

AceShowbiz - Casey Kasem has finally been laid to rest, but sadly it's not without drama. The former host of "American Top 40" and voice of Scooby Doo's sidekick Shaggy was buried on December 16 in Norway. His resting place is Vestre Gravlund, a cemetery in Oslo.

This sparked criticism from Kerri Kasem, his daughter from his first marriage. "This morning my family and I learned that my Dad's abusive wife Jean Thompson Kasem and their daughter Liberty conned a cemetery in Norway into burying my Dad there," she posted on Facebook.

She went on, "Even with ALL the letters ... from my father's friends and family stating that he wanted to be buried in the UNITED STATES, the country in which he was born and raised, his wishes were, once again, ignored by his unfaithful wife."

Jean who was married to Casey for 30 years was involved in a legal fight with his children from previous marriage over who had the right to care for the DJ who had been suffering from dementia. He died June 15 at a hospital in Gig Harbor, Washington. He was 82.
