The pic which is based on a true story focuses on a wanted man who takes on the identity of a disgraced journalist.

AceShowbiz - Jonah Hill is curious about James Franco in the first trailer of "True Story" which arrived on Thursday, December 18 via Yahoo Movies. The pic, which is based on a real story, focuses on a murderer named Christian Longo (Franco) who takes on the identity of a disgraced New York Times journalist Michael Finkel, played by Hill. Longo mentions Hill's name when he's apprehended, prompting the journalist to visit him.

"Did he say anything at all why he claimed to be me?" Hill first asks a reporter. Admitting he has been following Finkel's career, the man who's accused of killing his wife and kid tells him during a visit, "I want to tell you my side of this. Only you." The journalist apparently struggles to trust Longo amid pressure from people around him. "Did you do they accused you doing?" Longo asks.

Directed by Rupert Goold with Goold and David Kajganich as screenwriters, the drama also stars Felicity Jones as Finkel's girlfriend. The pic which is based on Finkel's 2005 autobiography "True Story: Murder, Memoir, Mea Culpa" will have its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival next month. It arrives in U.S. theaters on April 10.
