On heels of its double nomination at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards, the British miniseries is picked up for a second installment.

AceShowbiz - "The Missing" is returning for a second installment. The miniseries about a missing boy in France first aired on BBC One in U.K. before coming Stateside on Starz. Both networks will be partnering again to bring the sequel to the British drama.

The Williams brother, Harry and Jack, are confirmed to be back to handle the script for the upcoming entry. It is expected to follow a new case, new characters, as well as new location, and like the first one, it will also unfold over two time frames.

"The remarkably talented Williams brothers crafted a beautifully complex and heart-wrenching story with The Missing," said Starz Managing Director Carmi Zlotnik. "And while the story, character and locations will be different in this new iteration, we anticipate the same captivating longform storytelling and character development that critics and viewers have responded so well to."

The show has just wrapped up the first run on BBC One, but won't conclude in the States until January. It received two Golden Globe nominations for Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television and Best Actress for Frances O'Connor.
