The Young Money rapper's new album, 'The Pinkprint', has spawned some singles including the raunchy 'Anaconda' which landed at No. 2 on Billboard 200.

AceShowbiz - More than two years since putting out the successful "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded", Nicki Minaj is ready to be back in the game. The raptress is now gearing up to release her third studio album "The Pinkprint".

The album has been preceded by several singles including the smashing hit "Anaconda" which peaked at No. 2 on Billboard Hot 100. "I wanted to create a song that embraced curvy women. I wanted to be sexual but be playful with it. And I wanted it to be so melodic that even if you don't understand English you could still go along with the melody and you would have no idea about all the raunchy s**t I'm saying," Minaj explained the song in an interview for the December 2014/January 2015 edition of Complex.

Featuring a sample of Sir Mix-a-Lot's 1992 song "Baby's Got Back", "Anaconda" is accompanied by a twerk-filled music video that broke Vevo's record for the most-viewed clip in 24 hours. The clip which also stars her Young Money labelmate Drake was viewed 19.6 million times within 24 hours of its release, beating the record previously set by Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball".

"The Pinkprint" is officially coming out on Monday, December 15, a few days after it leaked online. Minaj has said multiple times that she named the record with Jay-Z's "The Blueprint" in mind. However, she promised that nothing else would be similar to Hova's 2001 album, saying, "I made reference to 'The Blueprint' because Jay is the biggest rapper of our time. The name of the album was inspired by Jay but not the body of work. I do think that it's going to create new rules, though, in [the way] that ['The Blueprint' did]."
