Franco and Rogen, who play TV host and a producer in the comedy, pose together on the red carpet and grant no interview for the media.

AceShowbiz - James Franco and Seth Rogen are among the cast members of "The Interview" who attended the premiere at The Theatre at Ace Hotel downtown Los Angeles. The premiere took place amid the hacking drama which hit Sony Pictures two weeks ago, prompting the studio to tell invited media not to conduct any interviews.

Other co-stars such as Randall Park and Diana Bang also showed up at the event. Bang, who plays a North Korean staffer, looked pretty in a patterned dress and strappy heels. Sony Pictures Entertainment co-chairman Amy Pascal was present alongside the stars, wearing a dark blazer over a pink top and pants.

Prior to the event, Rogen briefly commented on the movie while standing onstage alongside his producing partner Evan Goldberg. "I'd like to thank Amy Pascal for having the balls to make this movie," he said.

The movie tells the story of a TV host (Franco) and his producer (Rogen) who go to North Korea to interview Kim Jong-Un. The CIA, however, tells them to assassinate the leader. The comedy has been widely assumed to be the factor which prompted a massive cyber-attack to Sony which was carried out by a group called Guardians of Peace. North Korea was linked to the incident, but they denied their involvement.

A handful of unreleased movies leaked online following the hacking. Sensitive information about former and current employees as well as emails from executives' inbox, including Pascal's, were also spread online.
