Movie

Reportedly inspired by Fidel Castro, the actor's character Castillo is said to play a big role in the upcoming superhero movie.

AceShowbiz - Jordi Molla is the latest name thrown into the casting bag of "Ant-Man". The Spanish actor, who appeared in "Colombiana" among others, is revealed as part of the Marvel movie's cast in supporting role.

According to a new synopsis of the film released by Marvel Studios, Molla will play a character named Castillo. There's no other details about the character but speculations arise that Castillo will play a big role in the movie. The character doesn't exist in Marvel comic books and is said to be inspired by Cuban dictator Fidel Castro.

Castillo, reportedly a role once belonging to Michael Pena, may appear in the beginning of the movie. "Ant-Man" will open in 1960s when Michael Douglas' Hank Pym is fighting Communism.

The updated synopsis also revealed the first names of other characters played by previously-announced actors in the film. Rapper T.I. will play Dave, David Dastmalchian will star as Kurt, and Wood Harris will be Gale. These first names are also not familiar to comic book fans, thus may as well be new characters created for the movie.

Directed by Peyton Reed, "Ant-Man" will be released on July 17, 2015. Principal photography was completed back on December 6, the director revealed.
