AceShowbiz - During the announcement of the nominees for the 21st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, superhero satire "Birdman" is revealed dominating the list with four nods. It's followed by groundbreaking coming-of-age drama "Boyhood" and Alan Turing biopic "The Imitation Game" with three each.
Michael Keaton ("Birdman") goes head to head with Benedict Cumberbatch ("The Imitation Game"), Steve Carell ("Foxcatcher"), Jake Gyllenhaal ("Nightcrawler"), and Eddie Redmayne ("The Theory of Everything") to win the best male actor title.
Meanwhile, Redmayne's co-star Felicity Jones is vying for the best female actor prize. She is facing off strong contenders like Jennifer Aniston ("Cake"), Julianne Moore ("Still Alice"), Rosamund Pike ("Gone Girl"), and Reese Witherspoon ("Wild").
The 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards will be simulcast live nationally on TNT and TBS on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at 8 P.M. (ET) / 5 P.M. (PT) from the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center. All winners including from the TV categories will be announced during the telecast, except for the stunt ensemble honors which will be revealed from the red carpet.
Debbie Reynolds will be feted with Lifetime Achievement Award.
