AceShowbiz - "Rizzoli & Isles" is staying on TNT for another season. The police procedural series starring Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander has got a sixth season order following prolonged negotiations with producers Warner Horizon Television.

The new installment will run for 18 episodes, which is the largest single-season order for the series to date. The installment will premiere in the summer with Jan Nash returning as the showrunner. Nash was tapped to replace creator and showrunner Janet Tamaro in season 5.

The crime drama has been a consistent performer since it debuted in 2010, ranking as one of the top five basic cable shows for five consecutive years. The fifth season is averaging 7.6 million total viewers in Live + 7 so far. The show will return with the three remaining episodes of the season on February 17, 2015.
