Joan Rivers' Will Reveals She Left $150 Million Fortune to Family and Charities

Joan's daughter Melissa Rivers was named one of the executors of her will, which was revealed on Tuesday, December 9.

AceShowbiz - Joan Rivers' will was revealed on Tuesday, December 9 after it was filed in the New York State Surrogate's Court on Friday. Joan left her estimated $150 million fortune to family, friends, staff and charities.

According to a copy of the will obtained by Page Six, Joan named her daughter Melissa Rivers, her longtime business manager Michael D. Karlin and interior designer Robert Higdon as the co-executors of her estate.

She left Melissa all of her tangible property along with other beneficiaries including her grandson Edgar Cooper Endicott, her niece and nephew Caroline Waxler and Andrew Waxler. Andrew's wife Laurie Waxler told the site of the inheritance, "We didn't know. [Joan] was an incredibly generous woman."

Joan also left sums to her close staff and friends including assistants Jocelyn Pickett and Sabrina Lott Miller and publicist Scott Currie. Sabrina said the comedian was "generous to a fault." Scott, who arranged Joan's memorial service, said, "Nothing can ever make up for the loss I feel every day. [Joan] was such a big part of my life for over 25 years. She was an incredible lady."

The charities which will receive bequests from Joan are California's Guide Dogs for the Blind, the Queens-based food pantry God's Love We Deliver, Manhattan's Jewish Guild for the Blind, the Simon Wiesenthal Center, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Manhattan's Jewish Home and Hospital Foundation.

According to the site, a brief mention of an upcoming medical malpractice suit over Joan's death is made in the legal filing.
