The 30-year-old songstress sent direct messages to @AvrilMusicChart, saying she's 'not feeling well' and asking the fan to 'keep me in your prayers.'

AceShowbiz - Avril Lavigne is experiencing "some health issues." During a DM exchange with a fan on Twitter on Sunday, December 7, the "Complicated" hitmaker asked a fan to "keep me in your prayers."
According to a screenshot of the DM exchange posted by @AvrilMusicChart on Tuesday, the fan asked Avril, "Hey Av! It' been like two years since you completed your last album. Are you in the studio right now or working for something? Feel free to DM ;) we were worried about you."

The "Girlfriend" singer then responded, "I feel bad because I haven't been able to say anything to the fans to let them no why I've been absent. I'm torn as I'm quite private.... I'm not feeling well. I'm having some health issues. So please keep me in your prayers."
The fan wrote, "You know we're always with you Avril. Get well soon ;( we're always pray for you. I'll tell other fans to keep you in prayers ;( xo." Avril replied, "Thank you." The fan followed it up, "Your welcome Av ;( we just hope your feeling better again. We miss you a lot ;(," to which she responded, "I miss you guys too," along with a heart emoticon.
On Sunday, Avril retweeted a message from the fan which read, "@AvrilMusicChart: #GetWellSoonAvril #PrayForAvril," along with a simple "thank you."
A representative for Avril has confirmed the DM exchange is authentic although the health issue could not be disclosed.
