The POTUS delivers The Word which he renames The Decree to make it sound more presidential, poking fun at his own presidency.

AceShowbiz - President Barack Obama came to "The Colbert Report" on Monday, December 8, three minutes earlier than Stephen Colbert had expected, to hijack the show. The POTUS said he decided to take a shot at Colbert's job as a host, so he sat behind the desk to deliver The Word segment which he renamed The Decree to make it sound more presidential.

In the segment, Obama read the lines prepared for Colbert, "Nation, as you know, I, Stephen Colbert, have never cared for our president. The guy is so arrogant I bet he talks about himself in the third person."

It was followed by a riff on Obamacare and how Obama tried to encourage young people to sign up for health care. "He could try to appeal to them through a speech or a press conference, but young people don't watch real news shows like this one," Obama said. "They watch comedy shows, and I just don't see the president going on one of those. They are beneath his dignity."

In an interview with Colbert, Obama admitted that he left his socks on the floor around the house and got mocked by his daughters for his big ears. "When I go home, Michelle, Malia and Sasha give me a hard time," he said. "There are no trumpets, and they tease me mercilessly."

Colbert, who portrays conservative political pundit on the Comedy Central show, accused Obama of exceeding his authority on immigration. "You realize you're an emperor now; it has been declared," the comedian said. "When did you decide to burn the Constitution and become emperor?" Obama replied, "Actually, Steve, everything that we have done is scrupulously within the law and has been done by previous Democratic and Republican presidents."

When asked by Colbert, "Barack Obama - great president or the greatest president?" the president responded, "I'm going to let someone else decide - not you, but someone who knows what they're talking about." Colbert asked again, "Stephen Colbert - great pundit or the greatest pundit?" and Obama said without hesitation, "The greatest pundit."
