AceShowbiz - The Recording Academy kicked off the Grammy nomination announcement Friday, December 5 on "CBS This Morning". The first wave of nominees were revealed as Pharrell Williams and Ed Sheeran unveiled four categories for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.

Taylor Swift is up for Record of the Year, battling Iggy Azalea, Sia Furler, Sam Smith, and Meghan Trainor. Smith gets a second nod in Best Pop Vocal Album category, joining such contenders as Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Coldplay, Katy Perry, and Sheeran.
Fellow presenter Williams also nabs a Grammy nomination at the early announcement. He is vying for Best Urban Contemporary Album against Jhene Aiko, Beyonce Knowles, Chris Brown, Mali Music, and Sia.
More nominees will be revealed on Twitter all day, leading to "A Very Grammy Christmas" concert where the contenders for the most coveted Album of the Year are announced. Grande and Williams are set to perform at the one-hour special along with Maroon 5 and Tim McGraw.
The winners from all categories will be announced at the live ceremony on February 8, 2015 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Some of the nominees announced so far are as follows:
