AceShowbiz - Bill Cosby's lawyer has responded to a lawsuit filed by Judy Huth, a woman who claimed she was molested by the comedian when she was 15 in a bedroom of the Playboy Mansion. In a lawsuit filed on Thursday, December 4, Bill's lawyer Martin Singer said Judy's lying and filed the lawsuit after failing to extort money from him.

Martin claimed Judy's attorney approached him last month and made "ominous references to criminal penalties." Judy's attorney allegedly demanded $100,000 for her silence and later increased the amount to $250,000 as more accusers came forward. Martin also alleged that Judy tried to sell her story to tabloid ten years ago but she recently claimed that she had a repressed memory which would let her to file a lawsuit against Bill.

Martin said Judy's allegations "are absolutely false" and her case "fails to state sufficient facts to constitute a cause of action for claims arising out of alleged childhood sexual abuse." He also asked Judy and her attorney to pay monetary sanctions of $33,295 to cover "reasonable expenses, including attorney's fees."

Martin's documents stated, "Through her lawyer, Plaintiff made extortionate claims to Mr. Cosby (through his counsel) about criminal penalties, coupled with ever-increasing demands for a six-figure payday to keep quiet about her long-since-expired claims."

"Plaintiff's counsel admitted within days of filing the lawsuit that he only spent an hour meeting with her and that he did not know if she had ever seen a therapist or undergone therapy for this incident," the documents added.

Martin also claimed that Judy's story fell apart when she said she and Cosby "engaged in a drinking game" in which they "both consumed three beers." He added, "It is a well-known, and easily verifiable, that Mr. Cosby is a life-long non-drinker."

Earlier on the day, the Navy announced that it was revoking Bill's title of honorary chief petty officer. The Navy said in a statement, "The Navy is taking this action because allegations against Mr. Cosby are very serious and are in conflict with the Navy's core values of honor, courage and commitment."

Bill first enlisted in the Navy in 1956 and served four years as a hospital corpsman. In 1960, he was honorably discharged as a 3rd Class Petty Officer. The honorary title was presented to him in 2010.
