The 'Palo Alto' star gets his wish granted in the promo video and admits that he's hosting the NBC variety series only to get laid.

AceShowbiz - James Franco, one of the busiest men in Hollywood, will stop by Studio 8H at NBC Studios in New York this weekend to host "Saturday Night Live". Prior to the gig, he has taped a promo video with the show's regular player Cecily Strong.

Showing how packed his schedule lately, he has to excuse himself several times to attend a class at Yale and to shoot a movie, leaving Strong alone in front of camera. In another sketch, he experiences a Christmas miracle when his wish for a sandwich is granted.

When asked why he keeps coming back to "SNL", the Golden Globe Award-winning actor says he wants to spread happiness but later admits that he's hosting the show only to get laid. That's when former "30 Rock" star Jack McBrayer makes a cameo appearance, clapping from the audience seat.

Franco also wants to share his creative ideas for the show, planning a black-and-white and 3D edition of the NBC series.

"SNL" hosted by Franco airs December 6 at 11:30/10:30c on NBC with Nicki Minaj as a musical guest.
