AceShowbiz - A few weeks ago, Kristen Bell and a capella group Straight No Chaser debuted their modern Christmas tune "Text Me Merry Christmas". Now, an official music video for the collaboration has arrived for fans' viewing pleasure.
Hitting the web on Tuesday, December 2, the cute clip features Bell as an animated blonde character. Spending the night alone, she sends her long distance boyfriend text messages and several photos of herself. She also takes a selfie with Santa at one point.
While Bell is busy texting her boyfriend, Straight No Chaser's members who appear as animated mini carolers in suits dance around on the fully decorated Christmas tree.
"We wanted a Christmas song that spoke to how informal communication has become," Straight No Chaser's Randy Stine told RyanSeacrest.com when debuting the song last month. "[Bell] nailed every note and delivered the lyrics with the perfect comedic tone. We were hanging on her every word ... when we weren't looking at our phones."
The track appears on Straight No Chaser's "Under the Influence: Holiday Edition" album which is now available on iTunes.
