'Suicide Squad' Sets Production Date, Cast Are in Final Talks

The upcoming movie to be directed by David Ayer reportedly will start pre-production at Pinewood Toronto Studios in February.

AceShowbiz - "Suicide Squad" apparently is gearing up to start its production. According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, the movie which has the working title "Bravo 14" will start pre-production at Pinewood Toronto Studios in February with David Ayer ("Fury") serving behind the lens. The filming for the flick by Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment will then continue in mid-April to September.

The rumored cast members Jared Leto, Tom Hardy, Margot Robbie and Jai Courtney reportedly are in final negotiations to play the super villains in the DC comics. Hardy reportedly is eyed to play Rick Flag while Robbie is expected to play Batman's enemy Harley Quinn and Courtney is circling the role of Deadshot.

Leto recently responded to reports that he would play the Joker in the movie, telling THR in a new interview, "I've sworn to keep my mouth shut." Another star who was previously rumored to join the cast is Will Smith who reportedly would play The Flash's nemesis Digger Harkness or Captain Boomerang.

"Suicide Squad" will center on the super villains who are given a chance to redeem their past by signing up for dangerous missions. The movie is set to hit theaters on August 5, 2016.
